The News, As It Happens
First things first: my comments are now (or will be very soon) functional again.
Had breakfast with Dad this morning, which is always nice. Afterwards, I picked up some things at the new Kroger, prompting me to hate Kroger more than I did before.*flailing* Look at me, I'm a Kroger store developer! I can't find enough steep hills to build my parking lots on! *flail* *flail* Seriously, if I can't even let go of my cart long enough to open the trunk of my car, and I have to do some contortionist act to keep one foot behind a wheel while I unload the cart, I mean, COME ON.
This morning I woke up a wee bit early, so I took a long shower. Just when I was all relaxed in the hot steaminess, I did something - I'm not sure quite what - involving my neck and apparently every nerve contained therein. I do this about once every year. It sucks. Now every time I have hair in my face (which is about once every 30 seconds), I have to reach up with my hands to remove it, instead of doing a whole-head hair-flip, which is much easier as long as there's no one standing inside my fairy circle.
I came home from Kroger with groceries and a sore neck, and while I was toting everything into the apartment, George (the neighborhood mooch cat) let himself in. Packet (my princess cat) has the biggest crush on George. If you stand at a window and say, "Hi, George!" she will come running from wherever she is in the house. Just to look at him. And that's pretty much what she does when George saunters into her house. She follows him around just trying to get a good whiff of his butt. After I put the groceries away, a U-Haul pulled into the driveway. Guess what? CODY-NO IS MOVING AWAY! I can't believe it, myself. I guess after Cody-no's dad had his affair, his mom found some other guy (and I know they like each other, because I can hear them on Saturday nights). The new guy is really classy, with his "fuck-you-in-sign-language" t-shirt and his quasi-mullet. Maybe Cody-no's dad isn't moving out; he was always really nice to us, and he wears button-down shirts and gets haircuts. Darren and I were wondering if he'd have his new ho move in with him. If so, we hope she's a quiet ho. And Darren and I will not be intimidated by screaming children and noisy toys, and we will become friends with them and have people to hang out with and it will be cool. I can dream. Seriously, if both of Cody-no's parents are moving out, I hope we get either quiet cool people or old people. No dogs, and no kids. Like I said, I can dream. As far as my dreams go, this is pretty tame.
And by the way, I *heart* T-Mobile.
